May Geria
Senior Controller
Ms. Geria serves as Senior Controller, leading GP reporting, corporate accounting, tax compliance, treasury operations, and human resources for the firm. In this role, she also partners with leadership to drive compliance-focused process improvements and operational initiatives.
Prior to joining Berkeley Partners, Ms. Geria spent 18 years at DivcoWest. In her most recent role as Property Controller, she oversaw day-to-day accounting, lease administration, and accounts receivable functions for DivcoWest’s commercial properties and a select portfolio of development properties. In her free time, Ms. Geria enjoys hiking around the foothills of Mt. Diablo in the Bay Area, volunteering in her community, traveling, and mentoring young adults who are non-native English speakers.
Ms. Geria earned a Master of Arts in Economic Policy and Planning and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Makerere University in Kampala, Uganda. She is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive) in the State of California.
